Why the Right Academy Selection is Critical

Health, Safety & Well-Being

At Dreamers Learning Academy, the health, safety, and well-being of every child are our highest priorities.

We follow Virginia licensing requirements and maintain daily practices that promote a clean, healthy, safe, and supportive environment.

Our team is trained in CPR and First Aid, and we also have staff members with Medication Administration Training (MAT). These certifications help ensure that our team is prepared to respond appropriately to children's needs and unexpected situations.

Security & Protection

The safety of our children is a responsibility we take very seriously. Our facility is equipped with security cameras throughout our classrooms, and access to the building is protected by a secure entry code system available only to authorized individuals.

We also follow established safety procedures and guidelines to help maintain a secure and well-organized environment for children, families, and staff

A Clean, Friendly & Stress-Free Environment

We believe children learn best when they feel safe, comfortable, and supported. We work every day to maintain a clean, welcoming, and positive environment where children can learn, play, and grow with confidence.

Our teachers, families, and children each have responsibilities outlined in our policies and procedures to help create a respectful, organized, and stress-free environment for everyone. Our team is committed to providing care that meets and strives to go beyond Virginia licensing standards.

A Curriculum Designed for Every Stage

At Dreamers Learning Academy, we use STREAMin³, a research-based, play-centered curriculum designed to support the development of the whole child.

STREAMin³ integrates Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Math, along with five core areas of development: Relate, Regulate, Think, Communicate, and Move.

Children learn through hands-on experiences, exploration, play, stories, conversations, and everyday routines. Our teachers intentionally incorporate the curriculum into classroom activities while adapting experiences to each age group's developmental needs and interests.

Professional & Prepared Teachers

Our teachers are committed to providing safe, responsive, and developmentally appropriate care. We believe that great teachers never stop learning, which is why our team participates in ongoing professional development and training throughout the year.

Because we use STREAMin³, our classrooms also participate in curriculum observations during the year. These observations provide feedback and support to help ensure that our teachers are implementing the curriculum effectively and providing meaningful learning experiences that are appropriate for each child's developmental stage.

Our goal is to give families a clear picture of their child's day while making communication convenient, consistent, and transparent.

Nutritious Meals & Snacks

We provide breakfast, lunch, and a daily snack as part of our childcare program. We strive to offer balanced meals and snacks that support children's growth, development, and energy throughout the day.

Families can also stay informed through Brightwheel about what their child has eaten. For infants, teachers carefully document bottles, feeding times, ounces provided, and feeding information, helping families stay informed throughout the day
